wedding photojournalist, portrait photographer, digital scrapbooker, and digital photo restoration services...working in central and southeastern north carolina
These were photos I took as a wedding guest in October of 2007 near the beach in Southeastern NC. I have recently received permission from the bride to post them (our schedules just haven't matched up to sit down and go over the shots!)
The ring dog. :)
Dark clouds begin to approach.
Storm's a-brewin'!
Detail of the bride's gorgeous wedding gown.
Accepting the ring from the attendant.
People break out the umbrellas as it begins to rain!
Sandy: "I can't believe it's raining!" (Mercifully it waited until the last words of the vows were spoken!)
Cake topper for the cupcake tower.
I bet Sandy's thinking, "Yes...I have a knife and I know how to use it." ;)
Mark, don't you dare shove that cake up Sandy's nose!
We are a photography team located in NC. Katherine has been doing photography of some sort since she was around ten or twelve years old, learning on her dad's Pentax P3 film SLR. Our current equipment features the Nikon D5100 digital SLR and we are exclusively digital (but do film photography with vintage cameras as a hobby). David does some of the photography but is mostly involved in logistics. We photojournalize, using photography to tell a story. We do take the "normal" posed portraits, but we like to have the subjects interact with each other. We especially enjoy shooting candids, because it eliminates the stiffness sometimes seen in posed portraits, and allows Katherine to be unobtrusive, which is her favorite place! It also helps the group to relax and act more naturally without worrying about where the camera is and when to smile the fake "cheese" smiles. We love making our subjects laugh! Katherine also enjoys digital and paper scrapbooking, genealogy, jewelry design, crochet, and watercolor.
